Reminiscing Skies
As I gaze across the Washington early morning skies
A quick reminder of long ago, a sudden demise.
Pleasant memories of yesterday when life seemed quite simple.
It brought back childhood’ s pleasantries of popping my first pimple!
Yet as I watch the ever-changing clouds go by,
I take a deep breath and release a softening sigh…
These dreams and vivid memories of yesterday somehow bring inner joy and happiness, is all I can say!
I remember watching these unfolding skies as a child…
It was something so intriguing to see clouds quickly grow and storms so wild!
Sometimes just as today; it seemed quite peaceful and just a comfortable feeling…
In my own recollection, it’s always about contentment and happiness revealing!
So when I take walk I always look up to take a peak…
Back into memories in another, and another place my heart always manages to seek!
